John is an amazing fly fishing guide. He was clear, patient and ever so cheerful. He hired another guide to accommodate our group of four and had us stay until much past our allotted time. He is a gentle soul who cares as much for the wildlife we were angling for as he does the sport of fishing. We will be back. You will be lucky to have him as your guide.

John is a masterful fly fishing guide and casting instructor. He has all the gear and gets you in the water and learning by doing. He tailored the most amazing experience for both novice and intermediate skill levels in our group. It is clear that fishing is a joy for him and he wants to share that same experience with others. One thing I especially loved is that John remembers to tell you what you’re doing well in addition to the subtle guidance for improving your efficiency and enjoyment of fishing. John is such an enthusiastic and skilled sly fishing guide! My group of 4 went into the experience with no prior fly fishing experience and he taught us everything we needed to know! He brought us to a very secluded and really beautiful spot in Tahoe and was extremely patient giving us direct guidance in casting and standing in the right position.
